new work laptop
Well they decided we all needed to have our hard drives encrypted...this meant new SSD drives and new laptops for most of us.
My new one is a lattitude e6530 and it is a beast. It is 17 inches and even has a number pad. The crazy thing is it is lighter than my older lattitude.
I will be interested to see how well it performs.

t need the battery to last too long. that is the main reason i don'

Why would you need SSD for encryption? Not that I would be complaining or anything!

encrypting your hard drive slows down your I/O quite a bit. In order to make our machines still perform at a good level they had to give us SSD drives.
We also got 8 gig of ram and the latest i7 processor :-)
The only downside is the thing is huge and made of plastic
