That means you have the Yonah sp? it is a direct decendent of the P3 and Pentium M chips. Great on power and pretty good performance. The Merom - Core2Duo replaces the Yonah or is a step up from it built on the same technology. The main differences is the Merom is suppose to be cooler and use less power. The merom is somewhat faster because it has the ability to have a really large Cache. I believe you can get Meroms with 4MB on board where the Yonah usually has 2MB on board.
Both chips are very good. My Macbook has a Core Duo Yonah 2 GHz. One of the things I have really noticed is the power lasts a lot longer. I took my macbook to McDs to get ready for a presentation. My macbook was on for 40 minutes there and I have it on now on battery as well for about 30 miutes and I still have 3 hours left without lowering the brightness.
