Kinda funny article
not sure whether this belonged in the great sites or not, but go to http://google.blognewschannel.com/index.php/archives/2006/09/17/yahoo-free-coffee-for-default-homepages/
for this story. to sum it up, basically yahoo offered users a free free coffee from dunkin donuts (sumtin like that) in exchange for the users setting yahoo as their homepage. this little article talks about that, and a little joke timeline of what microsoft, google, ask, and AOL would offer...

when i first read week 3 (microsoft giving away ketchup), i chuckled inside. . .mainly because i could see an average daily use for coffee and a twinkie, but ketchup seems so random and almost useless. granted, the floppy disks would be even more useless. . .so perhaps they should've had m$ giving those away instead.
