Any recommendations? They seem to all run in the $40 range, is that normal or am I just not looking in the right places?

yeah, that is typical. i have used logitech and microsoft and both work fine. if you think you might do a fair amount of presentations, the microsoft presenter mouse that i have is very nice.

my wife an i both have logitech v270s and they seem to work really well and feel pretty well. I have even played AOE with it without any problems etc.
