launchy
for those of you that do not like to take your hands off the keyboard for any reason, check out launchy. i don't know that i will use it a whole lot, but basically you press alt and spacebar and it brings up the launchy box. start typing fire and it predicts that you want to launch firefox. there are more tricks to it and several skins to choose from.
