I have used this program before -
http://www.nch.com.au/switch
it'
s a pretty simple program and best of all (for your sake) it'
s only 400k, so no long waits to get it.

are you talking converting a cd to mp3 or what...You can use windows media player or itunes to rip cds.
I like dbpoweramp a lot...it removes any drm on it...Audacity is good for editing the audio if that is needed

Be careful...depending on the program it may make them wma or acc or something else..
If you are going to get a plays for sure device you should use WMP11 (windows media player 11) that way you will be sure to get all of your album art etc. when you sync.

yeah, back in one of the betas of wmp11, it would automatically rip your cd'
s to protected aac... you could change the setting, but it was still default. I often use musicmatch jukebox (or did until I got an ipod, now I use itunes) since it automatically does mp3 without whining...

dbpoweramp
is also nice in that you can right click on a file and tell it to convert to wav, mp3 or wma.

yeah, i'
ve been playing with super and I love it, it'
s so quick and easy. My only complaint is that they would let you know where they dump the encoded video to (took me a few minutes to figure out they had an output folder), but other than that its great.
