Hardware Troubles
So, BIOS and Windows don'
t pick up my CD-ROM drive. I'
ve tried everything I know except format the dumb thing. I even switched the CD-ROM drives themselves, still don'
t work. Any help would be nice. I really don'
t want to format it.

if the bios isn'
t picking up your drive formatting won'
t help.
bios has nothing to do with formatting.
you are sure your ide cable is ok...did you try unplugging everything from the mb but the cd...using the ide from your hd for your cd etc. and seeing if the bios gets it.

yeah if you HD works you should be able to just use the same cable as your HD and make sure your CDRom is set to cable select or the proper master/slave depending on what it is.

So, my little bro got that sweet new graphics card. We got a new power supply so the thing would run and we plugged it in and all was good and until it said that there are no suitable drivers on the hardware to match the graphics card, something about a VGA. I downloaded the latest driver from the web and tried that and again got an error. So, I'
m lost as to what it means. Help?

So, I don'
t know whether to laugh or cry. Little bro never plugged in the DVI cord into it and still was trying to use the analog to. Computer didn'
t know which one to use and wouldn'
t do it until the DVI was in, which to my credit I told him to do lol.
