Chromebook 2
on black friday I ordered my first ever chromebook for Amber to use for her side business. Toshiba ChromeBook2. So far so good. It will be interesting to see if it holds up but since it is a 13 inch screen it is plenty big enough and I expect she will be able to do most of what she needs to on it.

Funny that Microsoft couldn't have built these things years ago if they had wanted to and probably prevented companies from exploring alternatives. We deploy a bunch of cheap samsung chromebooks all over our warehouse.

I have been interested from day one on getting one of these. However, I did not want to spend the money and have it limit me on what I can do. You will have to keep us posted on what it is capable of. Great alternative now a days to buying a new computer.

I got one for Landon for school (since the HS is now BYOD). It has worked out well for him so far and I think it is a great option for moms and grandparents that just want to check email and facebook (or watch netflix). it is also a cheap option for students (provided they have campus-wide wifi).

Hard to beat for simplicity

Aubrey was using a drawing program on Amber's chromebook last night and it was perfect for what she wanted to do.

You can also use them to RDP into a full machine if you need one. I wouldn't be shocked if eventually Microsoft sells virtual machines that you can RDP into via Azure for the general public.

yes...especially the newer ones. Some of the originals didn't do so well.
No fans, no spinny discs
