Dell is on to something
I think dell is onto something by putting full windows on their tablets at good price points

Seems like you either have to go that way or put the phone OS on them but RT is a joke.

Also makes sense to have the same hardware with either android or windows so their eggs are spread out.

TBH, I thought that part of the big hype with Win8 was that it was one OS fits all with just minor adjustments for the phone. I am not sure why they did not just have one Windows that spans all tablets and PC's to begin with. I guess they must make some sort of profit out of having all of these different lines available.

The Dell tablets though look like good Surface alternatives so now we will just need to see what the price is. I'm still looking for my first tablet purchase!

I was at Walmart on my lunch break and they have a venu 8 prototype on display. It just has a static image but windows 8 looks really good on this tablet. It may end up beating out the nexus 7 for me as a mini tablet black friday purchase :-)
