i'm not sure how they quantify they 30% figure, but i would contend that going from multiple monitors down to 1 would result in a decrease of productivity higher than that (at least for a few months).

when you are used to 1 monitor, you find ways to maximize efficiency of space, but once you get used to multiple monitors, you become lazy in this area and forget how. going from 3 to 2 was difficult, but now i'm working on a 19" and a 27" widescreen. . .which, with win7, is like 3 monitors.

I thought the timing of the article was awesome....Amber just got a new laptop/dock for work and can finally use 2 monitors :-)

I have dual 20s and would be fine with one but it would have to be at least 27 inches :-)

too bad the imacs don't support video in any more :-(
