seems like a good iPad competitor with good specs at a great price...My concern will be the battery life based on the small print about having the brightness turned way down etc to get the reported values.

it is interesting that they only offer 8/16 gig models.

it is funny that it is taking at least a year from the competition to start coming out which is just in time for iPad v2

I don't know

1) may just add features and keep the same price point (typical apple strategy)
Cameras/retina display/ram/cpu etc.

2)Introduce premium and low end models...lower the price of the v1s and v2s would fill in where v1s are now (3G/3Gs) type of strategy

I kind of think they will do #2 in order to have a broader range of prices which will help them still control the market with all the 150-250 Android tablets coming soon.

There is also some thought they will introduce a smaller model but I don't really know if there is a big enough market to have two screen sizes right now...I could see making them all a little smaller when they go with the retina display but I don't think you can make it too small because then you might as well get an ipod touch.

I really think they will follow more of the ipod/iphone model of marketing with the ipad where they have an offering in every price category in order to stay competitive.

a lot of the lower end android tablets have resistive screens. . .and they are junky to say the least...and since i want to use it to teach from, i need something that is more responsive. the archos is a capacitive, which in my mind is necessary.
