I think the mobile wars are playing out just like the pc wars have
Design & usability vs price & features
The only difference is apple is bigger this time and has a lead like they did with the iPod but it is diminishing fast.
I think android is missing a top of the line phone still. Most of them feel cheap in your hand and are made with lots of plastic and small flash drives.

true. . .even closed vs. open.
incredible looked very positive before people started reviewing it
i'
m still a fan of the droid, but i know it isn'
t what you would consider top. still, it comes down to the question of who is your client. there is an android phone out there for just about everyone. grandma doesn'
t need a helicopter to get to the grocery store.

Yeah but after amber'
s mom got one I think the android o.s. Doesn'
t have the polish yet. Too complicated for most users. She does much better with her iPad. I think rim still has a fighting chance too.
The other part that is confusing is the number of android phones with different form factors. Droid which is owned by verizon isn'
t a phone really it is a family of vz phones that can be made by htc and motorolla. Sounds like u.s.auto industry. Drive ford made by Mazda etc

haha. yeah, and technically "droid" is a trademark of george lucas--weird.
which android did she get? i think the htc models with sense ui are probably the most user friendly (as far as interface). there are also multiple home applications that allow for better management of real estate. i'
ve used 3 different ones and am most happy with tag home (up to 9 home screens and you can jump to anyone directly, live wallpaper support, you can categorize apps based on tags or priority and it gives you 4 buttons at the bottom that stay on every screen for your most used apps).

She doesn'
t have a droid. I played with one at work. She has a sprint android phone made by samsung.
Having lots of options is nice for the tech savvy but not so great for everyone else.
The problem with a manufacturer ui on top is compatibility when the os updates etc. I laughed when I saw one of the android media players with the scrubber right next to the play/pause.
