yeah it makes you wonder what they were thinking with vista...windows 7 will run faster on less of a machine...they are going to use it on netbooks when xp expires.

its funny, i always liked vista (better than xp) but didnt think it was worth upgrading to at all. 7 *might* be a different story, we'll see after i've used it more. i have several other guys i know in my compsci class that are running it some, and all of them have said they like it too and some have said it may be their primary OS pretty soon... i'm sorta feeling the same way, it feels completely stable, like MS could release it at any time...

boot time is much quicker, and login is amazingly quick too- you login and rather than sitting for a minute or so waiting for everything to load in, your desktop is accessible pretty much immediately. pretty cool

The only complaint so far is I feel like (I could be wrong) I'm experiencing slightly weaker battery life than under Vista. Though I'm wondering if its a non-updated driver or something causing it, because all other benchmarks I'm reading is saying 7 is improving battery life by 10-15%...

some are saying that there are drm issues with windows 7. big shock. can anyone running win 7 try recording audio while running an audio app?
