What is Hypersight Rootkit Detector?

Been doing some reading on the concept of rootkits how common is it to find rootkits, running in a bad way. Anybody know??

depends on your activity...what you download and install etc.

Security now did a special a few years ago about rootkits and the hypervisor mode etc that some of the new chips have.

if you bought any cds from bmg and put them in your computer to rip tracks. . .you probably have sony's rootkit on your machine.

i was more talking about the rootkits that do damage to your machine, i was reading one article and it said that a certain type of rootkit can actually load your machine in a virtual setting, that would disable you right from your own machine.
