Hits on a site?
How can you find out how many hits a site has had?

There are lots of ways to do this...
You can do it in .net with an application counter. You can usually get one online pretty easy too.

Just google it you will find a bunch

You can't find out after the fact though...you need something to be keeping track.

a lot of hosting providers will either provide you with the stats or will allow you to have the logs from your site which can be read by stat programs.

I tried 1and1's stat-tracker, and hated it... If 1and1 is your host, don't even bother, use a third-party site...

yeah, i'd admit i've wimped out on stats stuff. . .mainly because i don't really care about it. my customers, on the other hand, are very much interested in them and 1and1 provides everything my customers have asked for to this point.

believe it or not, i am considering attempting to host a site at my house. . .but more on that later.
