Network Troubles
Not sure what i should have put this under, but im having difficulty sharing files and creating network drives on my network. Ive done it before, but it's not working. My computers are in the same workgroup and domain. But when i try to map a network drive from computer to computer, it says path could not be found. I cant share folders between my xp machines either, but my 98 monster picks them up just fine. i appriciate the help.

if you have xpsp2 which you probably do you want to make sure you enable the exceptions in the firewall to allow file and print sharing and make sure you don't have any other kind of firewall running like Norton firewall or zone alarm.
You can also try browsing by ip instead of computer name-- start run
\\10.1.1.5\c$ etc depending on which one you are trying to connect to.

That did the trick. I had already entered my network ip range into zone alarm to set it into my trusted zone, but that didn't work so I just entered each computer manually. I probably should have figured that out myself. Thanks for the help.
