Im trying to use port fowarding on a linksys RT31P2 router. Trying to manually open port 27999 its still not letting bit torrent use that port. Any help thanks

t need to really open any ports for bittorrent to work...what client are you using?

i got it but not from that my router was not set up 4 a static ip so i had 2 configue one in my tcp/ip properties but thanks for the help

I far prefer utorrent over azureus (or anything else for that matter), you could just turn on UPnP forwarding if it'
s enabled on your router, makes life much easier (yeah techinically its a bit unsafe but being afraid of UPnP is being a bit paranoid if you'
re only a home user).
